Join our life and wellness team at Willow Valley Communities as a Fitness Exercise Specialist ! Our fitness team works with Team Members and residents of all ages to help them achieve their fitness goals.
The Fitness Exercise Specialist is responsible to lead, instruct and motivate individuals/groups in exercise activities including cardiovascular exercise, strength training and stretching work with individuals of varying levels of fitness.
Responsibilities:
Assists Team Leaders in development, promotion, and implementation of health and fitness exercise classes, health and wellness related educational workshops, and promotional events for Residents and Team Members.
Instructs exercise/aquatics classes and educational workshops.
Stays current with latest trends in fitness industry.
Conducts fitness and health-related screenings.
Develops individualized exercise plans.
Assists in the care of the pools and fitness centers.
Maintains fitness, aquatics and satellite centers so they are neat, clean and safe at all times.
Completes bi-monthly maintenance checks of the satellite fitness centers in each community.
Serves as a lifeguard if needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
