Massage Therapist

Willow Valley is hiring a Massage Therapist to to provide massage therapy and body treatments to the Residents, Team Members and Guests of Willow Valley Communities in our preimier day spa.
Responsibilities:
Provides massage and body treatment services to clients of the Day Spa at the Cultural Center.
Including room calls to Residents in supportive living buildings.
Confers with clients about their medical histories and challenges with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful.
Provides clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
Assists in answering telephones and scheduling appointments for all spa services and update appointments as needed.
Assists in the development, promotion and implementation of Day Spa programs (ie, massage, facials, manicures, pedicures) to the independent, assisted living, and structured living Residents.
Participates in health and wellness related educational workshops and promotional events for Residents.
Communicates with Residents regarding questions, concerns, and/or complaints re:
massage and body therapies programs.
Assists in maintaining daily bookkeeping duties as well as taking payment for services and products sold at the Day Spa.
Responsible for set up and clean-up for each client.
Assists with laundry duties at the Cultural Center
Qualifications:
Current PA Massage Therapist LicenseMust have at least 500 hours of consecutive training in massage therapy at a state approved schoolAt least 100 of those 500 hours must be anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
Must be a member of Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals (ABMP) or American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Must complete at least 16 credit hours of continuing education credits every two years.
Must be CPR certified.
